Michael O' Connor, Irish landscape,
seascape and portrait artist was born in the seaside town of Arklow, on the
east coast of Ireland. He has spent many years painting scenes of Arklow and
the surrounding area of County Wicklow, painting both from life and photographs.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the Wicklow countryside, his work includes
scenes from the famous Vale of Avoca and various scenes of the eastern coastline.
Michael works on commission and can transform your favourite photograph into
a beautiful acrylic, oil or watercolour painting.
He worked as an artist\studio potter in the John Ffrench studios in Arklow Pottery and has worked as an illustrator for Arklow Folklore Group. Michael studied portraiture under Desmond Carrick at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
He has exhibited at the Hibernian Gallery, Ely Place, Dublin, and also at the Arklow Visual Arts Gallery.
